Love this tea. It is more bitter and astringent than others, and that is the way it is supposed to be. Very little umami flavour. I steep it hotter (80c )and am careful with the amount of leaf and timing. A bit tricky to steep. Bold initial flavour and complex aftertaste that lasts a long time and is very different from the Tsuyu and Maruyama. When carefully steeped to higher concentration, I find an excellent and subtle cooling effect can be had, similar to camphor or menthol.
